Issue Subtype Management

OBJECTIVE

The Issue Subtype Management option allows the user to create an issue subtype in connection with a yard issue type. The use of the subtypes allows greater precision in the categorization of yard issues. It is also possible to number the yard issues in function of the subtypes to which they are linked.

 

PREREQUISITE

• The Service Management module must be installed.
• Define Issue Types

 

Steps

maestro* > Projects > Maintenance > Issue Management > Issue Subtype Management (Web)

 

Creating an Issue Subtype

1. Click the New icon.
2. Enter the required information in the Main Fields tab:

Field	Description
Issue Type	Issue type code to which the subtype will be linked.
Code	Subtype code
Sequence Number Prefix	Prefix that will be added in front of the number of the sequential numbering. NOTE: This prefix will be used if the value in the Numbering field is "By issue subtype" in the Issue Type Management option which the subtype is linked to.
Description	English description of the issue subtype.
French Description	French description of the issue subtype.

3. Click the Save icon.
